1. Family Camp (June)
The theme for our 2019 Family camp was “Declare the Glory of God” (Psalms 19:1 ESV). Our youths had a fruitful time together and growing together. Our youths also stepped up to serve during this family camp in various ways such as in the publicity area and music ministry during the camp.
Our youths, Tiangwei and Euan serving in the music ministry during the camp.
“I would say that serving in the church camp has brought me out of my comfort zone, due to a different environment and a different focus altogether. But it is most certainly when we are out of our comfort zones that we can hear God the clearest and experience what He has in store for us.” – Euan
The 8am morning devotions by the pool we had together. Our COTL Seeds would gather to start the day off with The Word, reading and praying for each other throughout the camp, making sure that everyone is in check and accountable for.
Even during the camp, there was ample time for fellowship too! Our youths bond easily over yummy food during lunch and dinner breaks.
2. Youth Camp (December)
2019’s youth camp was special! We merged our youth camp together with our yearly visits to the Batam orphanage! We planed games and activities to be played and conducted with them. With some of the orphans already going to further their studies, a few of our Seeds youths are currently sponsoring their school fees!
In the night, the youths had their own ministry time, with 2019 camp’s theme being “Love your neighbour as yourself” (John 13:34). Our very own Pastor was the camp speaker, teaching the youths about ‘LOVE’!
